Show TRUSTEES DEBATE VARIED PROBLEMS TOWN WILL TRY TO GET USE 0? COUNTY GP.ADER The Milford town Board of Trustees Trus-tees decided last r.ight to ask the county Board of Commissioners that its co-operation be extended the town I in the matter of road ar.d street im- proveinent. In ordsr to maintain the streets of the town, the county will be asked for the use of the trader, trad-er, which, while not in use in Milford, could be put on the county roads south. The trustees will probably go to Beaver to try to arrange for the use of the grader. Action was shown by the town Thursday morning, when tiie dr::g was ov.t bright, and early to clear a roadway on the streets. NEW WATER TANK LOOMS The matter of a new water tank -was also discussed. It was agreed that the time was soon coining when a new tank, of a hundred thousand gallons gal-lons capacity will have to be built. DOG ROUND-UP Town Marshall Coleman reported on the licensing cf dogs and the killing kill-ing of unwanted do:?s. Animals which have caused trouble by biting persons will have to be muzzled or tied up or they will be disposed of the same as unlicensed. It is estimated esti-mated by one member of the board that there were two hundred dogs running about the streets in Milford. TO COYER DRAIN Some sort of box' cover will be built over the drain running off Main street east to the railroad tracks. The town has been expecting a complaint about the open ditch there, and either a cement or wooden cover will be provided. pro-vided. WASTE PAPER BOXES UP Five of the six metal waste paper boxes were set up this week. They will be stenciled and painted with the sijrn, 'Help Keep Our City Clean', or with similar words. |
