Show Explosion wrecks barbershop Last Friday morning the barber shop of Willis Rodgers was partly wrecked by an explosion which shook the business section. The accident was caused by leaky pipe line from a 1 gasoline pressure tank. The explo-i explo-i sion blew out the front windows and I fire started in the store, doing about fifty dollars damage to building con-i con-i tents. The fire was extinguished quickly with a small quantity of water. wa-ter. Mr. Rodgers was badly burned on the right hand and arm, but at that was extremely fortunate as he had - attempted to carry out the gasoline tank just before the explosion took 1 place. A customer had left the shop i just before the accident. No one else 1 was in the building. I While making repairs on the equip-1 equip-1 ment Wednesday, the gasoline burner which had been repaired, sprung a leak, causing a small blaze. The fire department was called for the second time, and soon extinguished the small blaze without further damage. i n |
