Show SOCIETY Saturday evening Mrs. J. M. Hughes entertained with a dinner honoring Mr. Hughes' birthday anniversary. Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Willard Nichols, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Johansen and Mr. and Mrs. Morris. DINNER BRIDGE CLUB Mrs. George Fernlcy was the charming hostess to the members of the Saturday Evening Bridge club on February 23. A patriotic idea was carried out in the color schem?. A red, white and blue cover was used on the dining table, which was centered with a miniature cherry tree. A most tempting dinner was served followed by bridge. Those in attendance attend-ance were the Mesdames Broyles, Gillies, Sloan, Moore, Morley and Parrish. Invited guests of the evening even-ing were Mesdames Kinney and Nelson. Nel-son. Score prizes were won by Mrs. Morley, points; Mrs. Moore, honors; Mrs. Sloan, consolation. C. H. CLUB The C. H. club was entertained on Wednesday evening, Feb. 20, at the home of Mrs. James Clay. An unusually un-usually pleasant time was spent in sewing, with nearly all members present. Dainty refreshments were served to Mrs. Peterson, Mrs. Crawford, Craw-ford, Mrs. Easton, Mrs. McCulley, Mrs. Root, Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Carter,) Mrs. Skinner, Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Hollis. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Mary Peterson, March 6. SUPRISE PARTY Mr. and Mrs. Roy White, Mr. andj Mrs. Myles White and Mr. and Mrs. I Warren Atkin pleasantly surprised Mrs. D. M. Edwards Saturday eve-j ning, Feb. 23, Mrs. Edwards' birthday birth-day being on that day. An interesting game of "500" was played, score prizes being awarded to Mrs. Atkin, ladies prize, Mr. Atkin, At-kin, gentleman's prize; Mrs. Roy White, ladies' consolation, Myles White, gentleman's consolation. At eleven o'clock delicious refreshments were served. STITCHLITIC Mrs. William Morris entertained the Stitchlitic club at her home Thursday evening, Feb. 21. The time was spent in sewing, followed by aj dainty luncheon, which was enjoyec by all present. PIERIAN CLUB Mrs. E. L. Bardsley was hostess for the Pierian club Monday evening. Feb. 25. So few were present that a regular meeting was not held. The evening was given over to discussion and a most enjoyable time was spent. Mrs. James Lang was a guest of the club. The luncheon was most tempting tempt-ing and good. The next meeting will be held at Mrs. D. A. Baxter's home, March 11. t BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY t Mrs. M. P. Lewis entertained Tuesday Tues-day in honor of her son, David's 8th birthday. The afternoon was spent dancing and playing games. Luncheon Lunch-eon was served to Barbara Parrish, Sara Cuddy, Hazel Tribole, Fay Lyman, Ly-man, Doris Jjuj;hes, Virginia Galli-noure, Galli-noure, Gordon Murdock, Jack Thies-sen, Thies-sen, Bob Nichols, Bob Martin and David Lewis. |
