Show MILFORD LOSES TO PAROWAN QUINTETTE Parowan beat Milford by the narrow nar-row margin of one point in a 24 to 25 Kane played here at the high school jrymnasium Saturday night. The (tame was closely contested from the opening tip off and the first half closed with Parowan holding a two points lead, 13 to 11. During the second half the opponents exchanged the lead so rapidly that no one could have taken odds on either team. When the final whistle blew Parowan was one point to the good officially though Milford sympathizers were inclined to contest the point as there had been an olTicial argument over a basket that that Milford had made a few minutes previously and had not been granted. The officials ruled the goal out and Parowan was given the game, though a number of local die-hards still believe be-lieve the game to have been a tie. The regular lineup of Horton, Hickman, Hick-man, Killam, Easton and Andrews was worked throughout the game until un-til the final Uarter when Griffiths was substituted for Killam and Easton East-on moved up to play center. Parowan lineup consisted in Mor-tensen, Mor-tensen, Bert, Clark, Robinson, Bet-tridge Bet-tridge with Lowder substituting for Bettridge. In a one sided game played at Marysvale, Milford High basketball team beat the Marysvale five, 26-11, Tuesday night. It is probably the best showing the local team has made during the series of practice games. |
