Show BEAYER TAKES 13-10 GAME FROM MILFORD In a dull ball game Sunday Beaver defeated Milford 13 to 10 at Beaver. Neither ball team played the kind of ball they are capable of. Outside of the playing of "Dolly" Carter of Milford Mil-ford and Lindsay of Beaver there was no bright spots. These two played play-ed a good game both making sensational sensa-tional catches in right field. Next Sunday Milford will play Minersville and Monday, Pioneer day at Milford and there may be a game with Caliente Sunday morning. The Pioneer Day game will be exceptionally ex-ceptionally intersting as it is rumored rumor-ed that a scout from the coast league lea-gue going through is to stop here and look over a couple of players who have been recommended as good projects. These two players are "Butch" Tanner "Dock" Osborne of Minersville. "Butch" Tanner has played nearly every position on the Milford team being sent to fill holes wherever needed, but lately has been catching and is a good prospect at any position posi-tion but is a natural catcher, full of pep and always talking up the game, a g-ood hitter and exceptionally fast on bases. 'Dock" Osborne is a young player having had very little experience but has proved to be about the best outfielder out-fielder in the county. "Dock" is a good hitter now and improving, he is very fast on the bases, stealing four bases in the last game against Milford. Mil-ford. In the outfield he has the reputation re-putation of never missing a fly and has a good arm. How these two youngsters will play under experts eyes remains to be seen. Sometimes young players blow up and sometimes they play better where the prospect of a tryoul looms up.
