Show ' SIX STUDENTS FROM BEAVER COUNTY ARE ATTENDING COLLEGE Special to News Phyllis Levi of Milford is attending the University of Utah this fall quart- er and other Jive students from Beaver Beav-er City are registered, making six in ! all from Beaver County. Those registered re-gistered from Beaver City are Alice I D. Beaumont, Wendell Beck Fernley, Edward Mathews, Kent Rovinson Morgan and Roma Tolton. Students from every county in Utah except Dagget are registered for the Autumn Quarter at the State University. Univer-sity. Twenty-seven states, Washington, Washing-ton, D. C, Hawaii and Phillippine Islands Is-lands and eight foreign countries are represented by one or more students at the present time. The foreign students stu-dents are from Sweden, India, Japan. Peru, Russia, Canada, England and Switzerland. There are 3222 students attending the University, according to figures released by E. J. Norton, recorder. This is a net increase of 219 over the number registered a year ago at this time. The total enrollment for the college year 1930-31 is estimated at nlore than 3500. The graduate division has an enrollment en-rollment of 102 students who are con-didates con-didates for Master's degrees. The registration in the various schools of the University is as follows: Arts and Sciences 911, Education 859, Mines and Engineering 374, Medicine 213, Law 199, and Business 564. The total to-tal enrollment includes 1991 men and 1231 women. University News Bureau |
