Show NO DISCRIMINATION IN UTAH Fortunately in Utah the poor and destitute who are in need of aid from the welfare agencies of the state and that being distributed dis-tributed by the Refinance Corporation, have no fear of being disfranchised dis-franchised by accepting it. Utah with its modern constitution dues not deprive a poor person from voting. It i., a blot on the J air name of America that such cannot be said of every state in the Union. Several states we are informed, have some of those old Hamiltonian laws still on their books, which prevents a person per-son who has accepted charity, from voting. This law was recently recent-ly invoked in the Maine elections, and used in Pennsylvania in a vain attempt to exclude a million arid a half of destitute persons from voting. |
