Show CONFERENCE The regular quarterly conference of the Roosevelt btake was held in the amusement hall, Roosevelt, Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday, June 18 and 19. The meetings, four in number were well attended, all of the stake presidency, most of the high council, coun-cil, bishoprics, ward clerks and heads of the auxiliary departments were there in their places. At the closing session there was all told 560 persons present. On account of the extremely high water none of the general authorities was present, yet the meetings were spirited. Mucr good council, instruction instruc-tion and advice wu glrai by the speakers. The Sunday morning morn-ing session was given over in partaking par-taking of the sacrament and in testimony tes-timony bearing. There was a splendect song service given throughout the meeting by the stake musical organization, under the direction of Professor James Hood, the choir members having been selected from each ward in the stake. The saints returned to their homes with renewed faith and courage. The advice given them by President Presi-dent William II. Smart to hold fast to their homes and to take care of the products of their, farms," to 6tack their hay carefully so that it would keep in good condition, will undoubtedly undoubt-edly be followed.
