Show oasis m:ms Mr. and Mrs. Tom Huff of Oasis had the misfortune to have their home destroyed by fire. Mrs. JIuff left a fire in the. cookstove while she went to the post office; about 1 ; 3 0 p. m. their home was in flames. The building was completely destroyed. Mr. Edward Chamberlain, special tdjuster of loses:, appraised the damage dam-age and made the order for settlement settle-ment on the policy Tuesday. Help came in time to save prac-ticaly prac-ticaly all the furniture. Mrs. George ltoundy and Mrs. Marin Mar-in Chriatctisen are visiting relatives and friends at St. George; they report re-port having a wonderful time. Amos J. Peterson and "Doc" Black of Deseret are rushing their hay preparatory to taking a trip to the Yellowstone. They exepct to go round to the coast on their return, re-turn, taking in all the interesting places en route, taking about two months to do justice to the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Bishop of Oasis accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Jack Johnson to Salt Lake City, where .they took their daughter Mary for surgical treatment, after having a piece of flying coal cut out of her eye. There are several cases -of whop-ing whop-ing cough at present. Mrs. O. J. Day, who has been quite ill, is improving. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kock motored into their old stamping grounds last Friday. Fred formerly owned the Tinsley Farm; he went to Califor-. nia, shook alkali dust in their faces, and before they recovered, cleaned up on 'em.
