Show CHAMBER Of COMMERCE The Delta Chamber of Commerce in its recent meeting Rave considerable consider-able discussion to the matter of having hav-ing the Grand Central Highway out of Delta to the Nevada State line placed in the best possible condition tor the 1025 traffic, and to having it eventually designated a state highway high-way by the next legislature. Several communications on this matter have been received from the Utah Slate Koad Commission and from the Western Good Heads and Tourists Routing Association, both of which indicated that this highway high-way is gaining in popularity, and that it promises to become an important im-portant link in the Trans-Continental Highway systems. It was decided to have a meeting of representatives from Tonopah and Ely, Hinckley, Delta, Lynndyl, Silver Sil-ver City, and Eureka, and at thi-meeting thi-meeting to outline plans to insure a united effort on the part of all the towns derectly interested in thi? highway. A committee consisting of M. M. Steele and Clark Allred of Delta, and NT. B. Badger of Hinckley, were appointed ap-pointed to go to- Ely and extend the Ely Chamber of Commerce an invitation invi-tation to meet with us and discuss this and other matters of common interest. in-terest. Invitations will be sent to the other towns immediately. a It is planned also to have a committee com-mittee present the proposition to the Millard County Commissioners at their -next monthly meeting, with a view of securing assistance from the county in mantaining this part of our road system. |
