Show HINCKLEY HAPPENINGS The Drainage Election of District No. 1 was held here last Saturday. There were 3 3 for Bonding and 12 against. The judges of the election were Otto Koch, Parley Warnick, and John Reeve, so we beleive this to be a benefit to the system, as the drains are working fine. Last Thursday, Arbor Day, was celebrated in the Public Schools and also the grounds were cleaned and put in good condition and to close the day a baseball game was held with the Delta School and our school came out on the long end of the game by winning out by a score of 7 to 0. The High Ditch Company is turning turn-ing the water in the canal this week. F. L. Hickman was a visitor here this last week. The Millard Academy defeated the Delta High School in a game of base ball here last Thursday by a score of 7 to 6, and was a very fine ehxlbition of the national pasttlme. Last Friday the Annual Girls Day was celebrated at the Millard Academy. Acad-emy. The day started off by all the Students cleaning the campus and at ten o'clock a program was held in the Auditorium and then the girls drew for partners and took the boys to lunch. In the nfternoon the interclass track meet was held and although it was not quite finished the Seniors were leading when activities stopped. The Day was closed with a grand Ball In the eveninjSat the Gym. |
