Show Woodrow Items Messrs Jack and Frank Strick-ley Strick-ley have returned to their home in Salt Lake for the winter. Mr. and Mrs. John Hersleff are preparing to spend the winter win-ter in Sutherland. Don't fail to vote for school trustee at the Woodrow school house, Wednesday, December 6th, from 2 till 5, p. m. Mr. and Mrs. Quinn accompanied accompan-ied their visitors, Mr. and Mrs. Hill, to Salt Lake City last Friday, Fri-day, returning home Tuesday of this week. The Jolly Stitchers were royally roy-ally entertained by the Mesdam-es Mesdam-es Sampley and Oppenheimer last Friday. This week they will be entertained at the home of Mrs. Percy Kyes. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kyes, with their daughter, Miss Vera, returned to Riverside, California, for the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Britt are planning to settle in Wood-row Wood-row for the winter. All Sutherland was shocked last week when the Chronicle appeared without the announc-ment announc-ment that Mr. and Mrs. Win Walker are the happy parents of a bouncing baby girl. Win actually ac-tually shed tears of disapoint-ment disapoint-ment it is said. Woodrow is to be the center of attraction next week as the Rev. Dr. Paden, of Salt Lake, and Rev. C. H. Hamilton and wife of Delta are to spend the week with us conducting a series of sermons. Dr. Paden will preach every evening at 7:30, p. m. The first of the series will be held Sunday at 11, a. m., and will take the place of the regular Sunday school.. Rev. A. D. Schmoch of Salt Lake is expected to preach at 8, p. m. Sunday evening. All are cordially cordi-ally invited to attend these meetings. meet-ings. Dr. Paden was with us last winter and we rejoice at the opportunity of having him again- , The Jolly Stitchers will hold a bazaar at Woodrow Dec. 16th, afternoon and evening. Come prepared to have a good time, get a cafeteria luncheon and buy Christmas presents cheaper than you could make them. A married folks' dance at Woodrow Thanksgiving night was well attended. |
