Show THE DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE. At the meeting of the Development league at Salt Lake last week the editor got a very vivid Idea of the great work the League 1 doing In advertising ad-vertising I'tah and bringing settlers Into the state. They are sending ou thousand of illustrated booklets anil directing thousand of Inquirers to the agricultural, stock raising, hortlcul-tupral,and hortlcul-tupral,and mining resource of the state. The secretary of the publicity bureau told the editor that many of these prospective buyer had been d! rected to the dry and Irrigated lands of Millard county. The different land show they have Inaugurated In the eastern rltle and ls Angeles have also resulted In bringing many people Into I'tah, and as the editor told the League, the large number of land buyer Delta ha had from Nebraska and Southern California Cali-fornia can undoubtedly be traced tt the land show at Omaha aud Los Angeles. ; The League ha recently taken over( the Ctah exhibit In the Vermont j building and they hope that every county In the state will take space for exhibits and have literature for distribution dis-tribution to the thousand of visitor who call there. We have pointed out before the advantages Millard County might derive from such an exhibit, and we hope the county commission-; er will see their way to make an allowance al-lowance for this purpose.' The state law permit a levy of one-half mill for thl purpose, half of which may be used to assist the county fair.
