With an attack on his opponent In the Republican national committee and on 1'resident Taft, Colonel Roosevelt on Tuesday night again protested against the course of affair at Chicago. In a statement he ald Mr. Taft assumed as-sumed "that the presidency Is to be treated as a gift within the bestowal of the politicians, in defiance of the duly enpressed wish of the people."
