The pup took advantage of the fight to lope toward to-ward Broadway, and It was half way there before the boya discovered Ita absence. Abandoning their difficulties they aet out in pursuit. A largo crowd followed, and when the dog was overhauled the same performance waa gone through again. After thla had been repeated half a dozen times, and the whole Wall atreet district had been covered, an officer of an animal society appeared and took the cur. The dog and the crowd tbua won- but the "kids" lost |
