Show UTAH WHEAT WINS. The better wheat crusade begun by the Agricultural college many years ago has been successful. As a result of investigations extending through a series of years, the college discovered that Turkey Red wheat was the variety var-iety best adapted to, Utah dry hi lm. it is known that the millers of Utah prefer this variety because of Its superior bread making qualities. The college began a vigorous campaign to standardize Utah wheats, advising the farmers to socialize upon this variety. var-iety. Only last month the Hotel Utah served bread made from Utah wheat, the first time In the state that any hotel ha ever served bread made from Utah grown wheat. As previously previ-ously announced, the millers of the state have offered a 10 per cent differential dif-ferential in favor of Turkey Red wheat. This successful fight at the college, wugijj for the farmer and the millers, is but one step in its effort ef-fort to standardize all of Utah's cereals. If the farmers are able to supply Utah millers with Turkey Red wheat, the state can save annually one-half million dollars. |
