SOUTH TRACT LITERARV MEETING. MEET-ING. Tbe regular meeting of the South Tract Literary Society was held Saturday, Sat-urday, May 17th. During the bulne session, a committee was appointed for the purpose of Investigating the matter of giving a social. A lamp was presented to the society by Mr. K. J. Law of Delta, for which a hearty vote ef thanka waa extended to him. The program waa opened by a song by the society. Ed Pearson read aa article arti-cle oa tbe cost per capita of educating children la tbe different states of tbe Union. The society paper was ably edited by William Hoff. A recitation, given by Master Ketth Samuels, was much enjoyed by the audience. Tbe extemporaneous debate oa city and country life waa decided la fsvor of country life.
