Show SOUTH TRACT ITEMS. The South Tract Literary Society met in regular session Saturday evening, eve-ning, May 3rd. Tbe meeting waa called call-ed to order by the president and a abort program waa given. The mast interesting feature was a talk by Mr. Reckwlth of Delta, In which he spoke of the origin and advantagea of the literary lit-erary society and on tbe preparation of literary work. A number of farmers south of Delta are putting lu a waste-ditch along the state road. The ditch leave that road In pretty bad condition in some places. Farm work on the South Tract Is pi ok reusing rapidly, some of the farmers farm-ers having about finished their sowing. sow-ing. Among the new names of fsrms on the South Tract are Wynteka, George Heaclie'i farm, the White House Farm, owned by William HofT, and J. P. Fidel's Sugar Loaf Farm. Last Saturday the South Tract Water Users Association reorganized reorgan-ized as the South Tract Commercial Club with Win. Huff as president. If. K. Heck , vice-president, secretary; Frank Johnson and Ed Plerson as treasurer. The executive committee consists of J. P. Fidel, N. H. Fol-some Fol-some and A. Peterson. The Club atarts off with a membership of over 30. |
