This land Is very rich and especially adapted for vegetables, although hay and grain are raised to perlei tlon. F. W. West has been threshing grain this week and made a much better harvest than he expected. He got 8U0 bushels of oats and several hundred bushels of barley. On Monday of last week David Kerr and Kva Carting were married at Fillmore. Fill-more. They m ill make -ihelr home In Deeret. Hinckley, Deseret and Oasis have all had political rallies the past week. In some places (he Democrats drew the largest crowd and elsewhere It Is the Progressives or Republicans. The general Impression seems to be, however, how-ever, that the Republicans will have a hard .line to win. Hinckley a favored with a musical musi-cal least ot unusual merit on Monday night.
