Show Our basket bull team left last Friday to compete with the school it! Southern South-ern t'tah. Friday evening- at Heaver they won from the Muniock Academy team, the score being ::;! to r,2. ()n .Monday they played the Hnuich Normal Nor-mal at (Ydar and hint by a score of 32 to 41. On Wednesday they met the St. (ieorge Academy at St. (ieorge. One of the most delightful parties given this year was that of the second sec-ond year class Friday evening, February Febru-ary IB. The colors, red and white, and the valentine Idea, were carried out In the elaborate decoration of the gymnasium, gym-nasium, In the heart shaped curds by which the guests round partners, and ill the refreshments. Table games In the gymnasium were followed by a program pro-gram In the assembly room, and a burlesque bur-lesque on the four classes of the school from green freshmen to sedate senior. Magic writing, a peunut auction, auc-tion, refreshments and a few dances finished the evening. The entire class had evidently spared no pains to make the party beautifully successful. The last lecture recital for this semester sem-ester lias been postponed from this week, Wednesday, February 21, to next Wednesday, February 28, at 8 p. in If the audience will please come about 7:45 the recital can start promptly at 8. An especially Interesting program Is being planned, as this will be the lat lecture recital of the course. It will be upon Gounod's greatest and most fascinating; grand opera. "Faust." The story of the opera will be given and the most Interesting part of the music will be Illustrated a! the piano by Mrs, Broaddiis. Home of the bright waltzes and the famous and beautiful love song will be illustrated by two piano pi-ano duets. In addition the Vlctrola will present the following great selections se-lections from "Faust," us sung by operatic op-eratic stars.
