Show DRAINAGE NOI NOTES S SOn On Sept the Supervisors of District No 4 The Melville 1 Tract met with the citizens to find the public mind in the course to pursue in the present high prices of labor Although the bids were all far in excess of the money originally voted yet the people expressed themselves selves In no quibbling terms that drainage was the Issue not money and unanimously unanimously unanimously unan unan- declared themselves to stand to a man behind the supervisors in letting the contract now and raise the additional money later After due deliberation the bid of Chas Thompson of at Omaha for was accepted His bid is given on the unit basis On the following Saturday the contract was signed in Salt Lake City and the contract let Mr Thompson Is re required required required re- re under the contract to beT bin in as soon as he can get machinery on the grounds not later than ninety days and his work must be finished by July 1 1921 This issue is very Important and we support our supervisors in their decision not to quibble over oyer 10 cents but to get the work of drainage begun If delayed two years there is no need of doing it then for our farmers will be busted and moved We Ve can depend on the people to vote the bonds which they t ey will readily do District No 1 Hinckley decided to re-advertise re for new bids and to open up the ma matter ter again We Ve hope their delay lel y will ill be only momentary as this is so so vital a matter that no season must be lost to the bene benefits tits of at draining |
