I DOGS DOG'S RESCUE EFFORT FAILS Collie Plunging Into River Vainly Tries to Hold Up Body of His I Master Westfield Mass Joseph Mass Joseph sky seven years old was drowned In Inthe Inthe the Westfield river at Red Hed Rock after his collie Fluff twice tried to bring the boy to shore Joseph and his year old brother William were playing on the bank Joseph slipped Into the river The Tho dog plunged In got the lads lad's collar In a firm firma grip and tried desperately to paddle ashore The rhe boy dragged the dog under Under under un un- der until Fluff was forced to come up for air Fluff FIluT fined filled his lungs Jungs then dived and came up with his master but was Vats dragged under again until he had to let go Arthur Bazata came at the older brothers brother's screams dived In and brought the body of Joseph to shore Fluff FluIT who had l kept ept diving desperate desperate- ly Jy y refused to come como ashore until Bazata Baza Baza- I ta came up with his masters master's form and brought it to land
