Show t h All YAIl All Quiet r 4 With the laying down of tomahawks butcher knives and other lethal weapons the fraternities and sororities amicably y m nark mark rk the end of f another rush season the first season for some e years in in fact that has been entirely free from infractions o of f rules and hostility Rush week is is a period in in which ing coals of ill will ill will are constantly in in danger of being fanned fanne d by bj rivalry into a veritable inferno Every greek letter organization organization organization or or- had its hands hand on some nice nice stout club ready t to smite its opponent it is true but the fact remains that no organization organization organization or or- used the club and for this the fraternities deserve e praise praise The existence of such an organization as a f fraternity y is is dependent upon the number and quality of pl pledges taken i iby in in n by bj the group Realizing this it is is easy to understand the reason rea rea- son son for squabbles and battles during the week The fact that tha t the securing of pledges is such a vital necessity for fraternities only tends to emphasize the praiseworthiness of a rush wee week k in ill in which friendship between fraternities was not forgotten Greek letter organizations conducted them themselves very creditably credit credit- ably Fraternities which have been criticized by many fo for r their animosity have made one long step toward an open proof f of their right to exist when they can conduct themselves a as asman s man mannerly erly as they did last week The Tile Chronicle feels that the twenty greek letter organizations organizations organizations organ organ- on the campus are deserving of the utmost praise for r their activities during rush week And regardless of where the fraternity finished in in the rushing scale each and every everyone one has has the satisfaction of believing At least we were good sports With all quiet on on the rushing front the Chronicle says Congratulations ROBERT DALY |
