Utah during the vear 1946; N:AV, TIIKREKOKK, we. the 'Nil and Game Commission of the State of Utah, by authority of Sec-ions Sec-ions 31-0-7, 30-D-8 and 311-0-32, Utah Code Annotated, 1913, do hereby proc'aim and declare that the open hunting season, bag limit and possession limit for Pheasants and quail for the year 194G, with exceptions hereinafter stipulated, shall be: " Pheasants: sex, male; season, Nov. 2- 3-4: hours 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: bag limit, 3: possession limit, 6. Quail: sex, either: season, Nov. 2- 3- 4: hours, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.: bag limit, 10: possession limit 20. GENERAL PROVISIONS PROVIDED, that no rifle, revolver, re-volver, or pistol may be used in the pursuit of pheasants or quail and that no shotgun pellets larger than No. 2 may be used for pheasant and quail hunting. PROVIDED, that no shooting shall be allowed before 7:00 A. M. or after 5:30 P. M. on any of the days open for the hunting of pheasants pheas-ants and quail. Be it also provided that it shall be unlawful to so mutilate the carcass of any pheasant as to destroy, or attempt to destroy, the evidence of sex, either while in transit or in storage. Be it further provided that any area not otherwise mentioned herein may be closed to hunting without further notice as an emergency emer-gency conservation or for-preven-irn measure, bv posting suitable signs and markers. Refer to Sections 30-0-81 to 30-0-97 inclusive, Utah Code Annotated, Anno-tated, 1943, for regulations pertaining pertain-ing to shooting on posted areas, and private lands. 'It is provided by statute that the above rules and regulations shall have full force and effect of law. Any violation thereof shall be considered a misdemeanor mis-demeanor and shall be prosecuted as such. (See local game warden or license agent for special closed areas.) UTAH FISH AND GAME COMMISSION |
