Show 01 Perianal !)aten,eit v Mrs. Loren Taylor left for Cedar City Monday, where she will visit her son, Ren Taylor, and family, including a new grandson now 3 monthhs old. Mr. and Mrs. George Huntsman, from Sacramento, California, visited visit-ed in Delta during the week with Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Leavitt. Mrs. b Huntsman is a cousin of Mr. Leav-) Leav-) itt. and taught school in Delta in 1921, when she was Miss Leah Leavitt. Lea-vitt. She and Mrs. Huntsman went on from here to Salt Lake City to attend Conference, and also visited in Manti before their return home. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pace made a trip to Salt Lake City on Monday and Tuesday. Emerson Gonder, from Garrison, is staying with his grandmother, Mrs. Molly Conk, and is attending the Delta high school. Zona Hawlev is in Salt Lake, and will remain there for several weeks, for medical treatment. The Jolly Stitchers will meet Friday, Fri-day, October 11, at the home of Mrs. Vivian Clark. Bishop and Mrs. June Black, and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Gardner, were in Salt Lake City during the past week, to attend Conference. Charles Sampson drove up from California, and took his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Sampson, to Conference Con-ference in Salt Lake City. After their return to Delta, Charles went forward on Tuesday, to his home in San Bernardino, California. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Morgan and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Manwaring, from Rexburg, Idaho, spent Tuesday in Delta visiting with Mrs. June Max-field, Max-field, who is here from Stockton, California. They intend to go from here to the parks and visit them before returning to Idaho. Spencer H. Wright is in Salt Lake City this week, attending the Toy Show, at the Hotel Utah. Mrs. Paul Adams, and children, Fred, Martha and Jim, and nephew, Dick Sweet, have returned to Delta from a visit of ten days in Mont-pelier, Mont-pelier, Idaho. Mrs. Adams was there for the golden wedding anniversary party of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Cruickshank, on September 30. Mr. Adams went to Salt Lake City Friday, and met his family to bring them home. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pace, from Ely, drove to Delta Sunday. They will make a visit here, then go on to Long Beach, California, and return re-turn to Ely. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph D. Damron, from Salt Lake City, came to Delta Friday, and are making an extended" extend-ed" visit here with their daughter, Mrs. Spencer Wright. Entertains Rookette Club Mrs. Rae Huff entertained the Rookette club last Thursday evening. even-ing. Dinner was served to club members Vesta Cahoon, Beulah Bassett, Grayce Pace, Arva Ogden, Lorna Bunker, Jeta Maxfield, Neva Robison, LaPriel Mortnsen and Barbara Bar-bara Spendlove. Guests were Leah Mortnsen, Mary Peterson, and Frances Whicker. Rook was played and high score held by Vesta Cahoon, Ca-hoon, second by Beulah Bassett & low by Grayce Pace. Mary Peterson held high for the guests. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pace made a trip to Salt Lake City on Monday and Tuesday. Nels C. Black was down from Ogden Og-den this week for a visit with his wife and family, while the job he is on was held up by storms. He will return to Ogden, where he is employed on the construction of the overpass over the railroad and Weber River. Joseph H. (Red) Adams, from Logandale, Nevada, visited in Delta jwith his brother, John Adams, on Monday and Tuesday, after a trip to Salt Lake City to Conference. Sherman Perkins, his brother Bill .Perkins, and Harold Colby made a I trip into Nevada over Sunday. .Sherm reports that there was only one buck on Mt. Wheeler, and he got it, the other hunters seeing nothing. Mrs. Harold Colby and her small 'daughter have returned from a trip I to Salt Lake City, where they visited visit-ed Mrs. Colby's sister. , Mr. and Mrs. James Knight went to Salt Lake City Tuesday for a visit of several days. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Crapo and their family, from Myton, visited in Delta this week with their mother, Mrs. Blanch Works. Leigh Maxfield went to Salt Lake City Wednesday, on a business trip, and a meeting with Charles Peppard, who was there from Kansas Kan-sas City. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jensen entertained en-tertained last Wednesday night for Mr. and Mrs. Frank Foote, Mr. and Mrs. John Wind and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Munster. The entree was bass that Mr. and Mrs. Jensen had recently caught in the reservoir. Mr. and Mrs. Arch Searle returned return-ed to Delta Monday from Salt Lake City where Mr. Searle had been for treatments on an infected thumb. There was a rainfall this past , week of .84 inches, the heaviest on Tuesday, Oct. 1, of .38 inches, : and again on Sunday, Oct. 6, with , .32 inches. |
