Show Millard County Republicans Will Hold Outing on 24 Millard County Republicans will hold an outing in Oak Creek canyon can-yon on Saturday afternoon, August 24, with all Republicans urged to attend, and a special invitation to all G. I.'s. Honored visitors and guests will include David J. Wilson, candidate for U. S. Congress; George Geor-ge Latimer, candidate for UtahSu-preme UtahSu-preme court, Clifford McShane, a candidate for state senate; and all ji the Millard county candidates & officers. The program offers a full after-loon after-loon of sports, with a baseball ame, volley ball game, and horse shoe pitching, with the Young Republicans Re-publicans playing those over 27 years old. There will be swimming, with contests directed by Vernon Hunter. There will be a contest for the best novelty campaign song. The committee asks that those wishing to enter their song turn it in to Mr. Lucian Black or Tom Whatcott on or before midnight, August 21. First and second prizes will be a-warded a-warded for the two leading songs in the contest. Oak City melons and cold drinks will be furnished for all at the outing, and those attending are asked to bring picnic lunch for their own party. The outing is planned to give everyone a good time, and a large attendance is expected. |
