Show HINCKLEY . . . Mrs. Clara Stewart Mrs. Bill Bliss and small daughter, daugh-ter, Marv Ellen, spent the week with M-S Clark Bliss. M-S Byron Carter and family of Payson are visiting their parents, M-S Don A. Bishop. Dee Wright came home from the B Y U at Provo to see his parents over the weekend. Raymond Finlinson came from Los Angeles Saturday to get his wife and baby. They left Monday for Los Angeles where Maxine will live with her sister, Hellen. Their husbands will get back to see them occasionally. Miss Grace Hepworth came home for the weekend. She is teaching school in Lehi. Carla and Raina Langston came from Ogden Friday to see their brother, Clinton, who Is quite ill. Mrs. Nelda Stratton is in the hospital again, as she is not so well. Mrs. Gerald Kjng of Ogden, is visiting her parents, M-S Frank Webb, while her husband is hunting hunt-ing deer. Mr. King has been stationed sta-tioned at San Francisco, but now he has his discharge from the cavalry cav-alry of the U. S. Army. Richard D. Roberts came from Ogden to go on the big hunt with his wife's father Hugh Hilton. They got two bucks by 9 o'clock the first morning. Mrs. Lizzie Stevens of Holden is in town to see her sister, Mrs. Blaine Robinson. Miss Thloa Hepworth of Provo, spent the weekend with her parents, par-ents, M-S Orlando Hepworth. Friday morning Roy and Ted Smith and Lowell Petersen were in la pickup going deer hunting. As they approached the cement bridge at Desert corner they stopped, stop-ped, but apparently didn't look long enough and collided with a car driven by Henry Dewsup, as M-S Dewsnup were coming from Deseret. The cars were bent and they all got quite a shakeup, but luckily no one was seriously hurt. This makes about the fifth accident acci-dent at this corner. The willows, weeds, trees and open drain obstruct ob-struct the view until it is almost impossible to see approaching cars. Something should be done before a serious accident occurs. Argene Robinson and Mrs. Ray-ola Ray-ola Peterson came home from Salt Lake City to be with their mother, Mrs. Blaine Robinson, who is seriously ser-iously ill with a heart ailment. Saturday morning she became so ill, it was necessary to get word to Blaine, who w,as on the deer hunt. Cecil Baker flew his plane out to the north hills, found him and Clayton Stratton drove him home. A friend in need is a friend indeed. Peter Peterson and Val Styler of Oasis were the speakers at church Sunday evening. La Veda Bishop and Mrs. Hawley sang a duet. Friday, October 26 will be the date for an excursion to the Manti Temple. All members of the priesthood priest-hood and their wives are invited to attend. Parowan won the football game from the H. H. S. last Friday. The score was 13 to 6. This Friday Milford will play the final game of the season with Hinckley at Hinckley. Friday night the Home Economics Econom-ics Club will sponsor a traffic dance in the gym. It's going to be lots of fun. Everyone come. W. D. Evans, Laurie Towle, Earl Johnson and Henry Struve, all came from San Francisco to go deer hunting with Clark Bliss. Mrs. Mary Bishop arrived in town Saturday evening to be with her daughter, Mrs. Mayme Robinson. Robin-son. M-S Otto Tullis went to Salt Lake City Monday to see their sister, sist-er, Beth Mecham, who is majoring in art at the U of U. When they came home they brought their son Donald, with them. -Miss Helen Bishop just returned from Salt Lake where she has been to give blood to the blood bank. Vaun Moody of Oakland, California, Calif-ornia, visited here on Sunday. M-S Max Bishop, of Salt Lake are visiting relatives here. Randall and R. Swensen returned return-ed Monday from Sterling with a 2-and 2-and a 3-point buck. Mrs. Kay Bishop was a Salt Lake visitor last week. Mrs. Karl Probst and daughter, Joyce of Midway, and Leland R. Wright of Salt Lake City, have been visiting their sister, Mrs. Mabel Chaffin and brothers, Ivan and Rodney Wright. Dean Reesie of California, is a guest of Ray Wilkins. Mrs. Bryant Larson returned to Delta Wednesday from a trip to Salt Lake City. Mrs. Minnie I. Hodapp from A-merican A-merican Fork is visiting in Delta for a few days with her niece, Mrs. Stella Ashby. M-S Rulon Anderson went to Salt Lake City Tuesday, where Mr. Anderson is going to the hospital again. |
