Show War Bond Sales i Stepping Up In Final Drive 6 Abraham Delta Elementary CI Deseret Leamington Lynndyl South Tract Sugarville-Woodrow Sutherland West Millard has reached approximately approx-imately 58 per cent of its $90,000 quota in this Sixth War Loan campaign, cam-paign, although many of the reports re-ports are not complete. Abraham with a quota of $3,000 has raised $5,000; Deseret has raised SS300 a-gainst a-gainst its quota of SS.000; Leamington Leam-ington is also over the top with $6,500 raised with a quota of $5,-000; $5,-000; Sugarville and Woodrow are over their quota of $4,000 with $4.-200 $4.-200 raised, and the South Tract has completed its quota of $2000. ' Delta has so many workers that : they can not get an accurate count ' and" have to take the figures from : the bank and post office, realizing that the workers may still have applications they have not brought to either place. Lvnndvl has raised rais-ed $7,700 of its quota of $8,000. and will go over the top at any time now. The other communities have not been heard from at the time of this writing. Sutherland telephones late Wednesday Wed-nesday night that they have just, gone over the top, and got their quota. It was the hope of those in charge of the War Loan Drive in Utah to end it by December 7. Utah, as a whole, looks like it will not make it, but Vest Millard still has high hopes that they can get the .workers .work-ers out Thursday, and then again at the picture show and reach their quota midnight of Thursday, Dec. 7th. There will be a special picture show that night at the Crest Theatre, Thea-tre, with the feature picture being "The Sullivans." The picture portrays por-trays the lives of the Sullivans brothers, who entered the Navy as a unit, were assigned to one ship, and then lost in the early action ac-tion of the war. According to Bill Pace, a bond receipt will be the ticket for that night, and anyone presenting such receipt will be giv- jen a free show. This feature pic- ture is on Thursday night only. Mr. Ashby urges everyone to buy a bond immediately so that West Millard may go over the top hy December 7th, as was originally planned. The caravan will be in Hinckley and Delta on Thursday to stimulate stimu-late the buying of bonds, and will show pictures of actual combat conditions with the Army and Navy. Na-vy. Hinckley Waits for Caravan . . The Armored Car will be in Hinckley Hin-ckley Thursday at 10 a.m. to give car rides to those who have bought bonds in the schools during this drive. Many bonds have been bought by the elementary school and the U.S. are hoping to reach their quota quo-ta by Friday. The house to house canas isn't bringing in enough to reach the quota and a revisit may be necessary before the drive ends on the 14th. |
