Show Legion Conducts Service for Ten Killed in Action Delia's Arthur L. Cahoon post No. 89 of the American Legion participated par-ticipated in an impressive memorial memori-al service held at Topaz Sunday in honor of 10 Japanese-American soldiers from the Central Utah Relocation Re-location center killed in action on the Italian and French battle fronts. Fourteen hundred persons filled the high school auditorium for this first camp-wide memorial service. The stage was decorated with beautiful wreaths of imitation red and white roses and other flowers. Parents and wives of the deceased soldiers each laid a large white flower at the toot of an altar. A service flag bore 423 stars, representing repre-senting each soldier with near relatives re-latives in Topaz. R. P. Hilton, commander of the Legion post, and Harold R. Morris, Hinckley, spoke for the eight Legionnaires Le-gionnaires present, and presented gold stars and flags to nearest of kin of the servicemen. "The government of the United Slates through the American Legion Le-gion presents to you the flag under which your son or loved one and our comrades served,- and a gold star flag furnished by the citizens of Topaz in loving remembrance of your loved ones," Mr. Morris said. Other speakers included L.T. Hoffman, Project Director; Mas Narahara, chairman of the Topaz Community Council, and Takashi Tsuzuki, program chairman.
