Effie Allen on Valentine day. A very lovely love-ly Valentine cake and coffee were served and cards were enjoyed. Mrs. Harry Carrington has to go to Salt Lake City for a few days. Lyman Porter, who has the Lynn-dvl Lynn-dvl garage, spent a few days in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Thelma Clark returned from Salt Lake Tuesday, after having spent a few weeks with her daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Blanche Bosh and Mrs. Bertha Sherwood. Little Joan Johnson is suffering from the mumps. Miss Carmen Nielson of Cedar City is visiting with her mother, Mrs. Clead Nielson. Lynndyl M. I. A. are entertaining entertain-ing Oak City Tuesday evening with tiie plays they put on here some time ago. They will go to Delta on Wednesday nWht. Mrs. Leona Davis, whose husband hus-band was killed overseas, went to Spanish Fork Tuesday to attend the military funeral for him. Sephronica Lake returned home Monday to visit with her parents, M-S Barney Lake. Sgt. Ted Wellington and wife spent Sunday and Monday here visiting with her sister, Mrs. Myrle Nielson. M-S Myron Vest, Edith Mae Vest and Sammy Vest, Slc were Mil-ford Mil-ford visitors Thursday and were the guests of Bishop and Mrs. Car-lyle Car-lyle Gronning. Mrs. Charlie Gunn returned to Los Angeles after visiting her parents par-ents and sister in Leamington, al- so her many friends. Mrs. Delia Nielson of Leaming-! Leaming-! ton is visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Ervin Whatcott. M-S Harry McCardell were Salt Lake visitors Saturday. Mrs. Kay Atkins and daughter, Eloise, spent Saturday and Sunday at Milford visitnig her husband. Mrs. John Talbot and Earl spent a few days in Salt Lake visiting M-S Ford Coleman and M-S Ian McKellar of Magna. Mrs. Colleen Craddock went to Pocatello to visit her husband, S 1c, who is stationed there. The Rook Club enjoyed the evening eve-ning Saturday at the home of M-S Royal Terry. A lovely lunch was served to Eleanor and Cleade Nielson, Niel-son, Marge and Fred Greathouse, Mary and Lile Johnson, Leda and Earl Greathouse and Myrtle and Spencer Nielsorl of Leamington Mary and Lile won high score and Myrtle and Spencer won low. Connie Nielson entertained at her home at a Valentine party on February 14. The Valentine theme was carried out in decorations, games and refreshments. Miss Nadine Sheriff, who was employed at the arms plant in Og-den, Og-den, spent a few days here with her parents, M-S Mart Sheriff. Mrs. Edwin Smith of Beaver stopped over between trains and visited with her sister, Mrs. Mart Sheriff. She had been visiting with Mrs. Charley Smith of Ogden. She took little Jerry home for a visit, while his mother is in California visiting her husband, who is in the Navy. Mrs. Mart Sheriff also had relatives rela-tives from Idaho spend the week end with them. Mrs. Farrell Terry arrived here Tuesday from Miami, Florida, to visit with M-S Royal Terry. She received re-ceived a letter saying Farrell will soon be home to stay. Little LeRoy Best is ill with rheumatic fever. After having spent a few days visiting here, Miss Carolyn Simpson Simp-son left Wednesday for Caliente, where her sister, Francis Fernley, will join her and they will go to Los Angeles where they are employed em-ployed at Douglas Air Craft. Saturday evening Miss Beryl Roper Ro-per and Louise Clark entertained in honor of Carolyn Simpson's birthday. birth-day. Two beautiful cakes and ice cream were served to Neva Ivie, Glenna Roper, Mae Miller Thelma Clark and Norma Majers. Mrs. John Dutson' received word Wednesday from their son, Private Floyd E. Di.ison (Eddie) that he is now released from the hospital and is now working in the post office in France. M-S Hepworth and daughter, Mahala, spent Tuesday in Fillmore. Miss Beverly Larsen of Salt Lake spent the weekend visiting with her parents, M-S Reed Larsen. Mr. Alma has been suffering from a bad cold. |
