We had practically no winter at all until the snowstrom of Sunday, Feb. 18, came with a fall of about six inches. M-S George R. Jockson and daughter, dau-ghter, Ruth, of Provo spent from Saturday to Monday morning visiting visit-ing in Delta. Thirty-seven percent of the Japanese-Americans at Topaz have left the camp on relocation. It is the second highest camp in that respect. Rev. Walter D. Howell of the Presbyterian Church at Philadelphia, Philadel-phia, was a visitor to Delta lasti week, a guest of Rev. Carl W. Nugent. Nu-gent. The Junior Girls of the Delta second sec-ond ward Mutual held a rose bouquet bou-quet service Tuesday night- including includ-ing a party for the mothers of the girls. The leader, Mrs. Annie Bishop, Bish-op, presented each girl witth a rose holder as a service award. The M. I. A. was a special guest. S Buy War Bonds and Stamps $ Sunday evening the Delta Second Sec-ond Ward held their fireside chat at the home of M-S J. Avery Bishop. Bish-op. Dr. LeGrande Noble read several sev-eral very outstanding essays written writ-ten by soldiers in the Mediterranean Mediterran-ean Theater of the war, on the subject, "What Victory Means to me." A clever retold story was then given by Mrs. Noble, after which refreshments were served. A large crowd enjoyed this interesting in-teresting program. Mrs. J. V. Rice, Mrs. Pearl Stap-ley Stap-ley and Mrs. Mabel King spent the fore part of last week in Salt Lake City. They returned to Delta on Thursday. Mrs. J. V. Rice left Saturday to return to her home in Santa Monica, Mon-ica, after visiting here for about ten days. M-S Kimball of Kanosh returned to their home after spending several sev-eral weeks here visiting at the home of M-S Rulon Black. Mrs. Margaret Callister and Mrs. George N. Church will leave for California the latter part of the week where Mrs. Church will visit with her son Jim. ' Mrs. Oak Dutson gave a surprise party Monday evening in honor of the birthday of her daughter Beverly. Bever-ly. Supper was served to the following fol-lowing guests: Arvilla Jensen, Rhea Maxfield, Maurine Jeffery, Coroyl Robinson, Carol Noble, Rose Jeffery. Jef-fery.
