Show Hound Home From Ivoreu Duly Sgt. Ralph D. Erickson vvias one of 17 Utah men who were reluming relum-ing from the Far East with rotation rotat-ion personnel aboard two Navy transports that docked in Seattle, Wash., around 9 p. m. Saturday. At 9:25 that night Ralph was on the telephone, talking to his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Erickson, at Sutherland. He said he sxpected to receive his discharge within several days, and told his parents to be ready to meet him at the Salt Lake airport on a minutes notice. He also said hello to every- one at home. Sgt. Ericksan has been sening in Korea for the past 17 months. A letter to his mother from Chaplain Chap-lain Covington, received this week, said that when Ralph left the base and went to the re-emplacement company four days the many friends he has made kept in touch with him, and when his ship sailed sail-ed the dock was lined with South Koreans waving as long as he was in sight Several farewell parties had been given him, land he was showered show-ered with gifts and keepsakes.
