Show - Oak City - Mae H. Shipley Mr. and Mrs. Grant Christensen left Sunday for a week visit at Blanding with Mrs. Christensen's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Anderson and family visited in Oak City. They live at Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Don Anderson and daughters, Maurine and Colleen, visited their ranch in Idaho Sat-uray Sat-uray and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Junior Anderson I and 'family are moving to Idaho to make their home. Oak City will miss this family. We wish them success in their new home. Mr. and Mrs. Carwin Nielson and family from Sunset visited in Oak City. Major and Mrs. Harold Heggessy and daughters have been in Oak City the past week. He has been stationed in California for a year and is being transferred to Texas. Major Heggessy told his experiences experi-ences Tuesday evening at the special interest MIA class. His talk was very interesting to those present. pre-sent. Miss Genevieve Anderson grad-I grad-I uated from the BYU last Friday I evening. Her Parents, Mr. and Mrs. I Eldon Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. i Dean Anderson, Fred Anderson and ' Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Finlinson attended at-tended the graduation. Mrs. Ruth Anderson graduated from the BYU Friday evening. Her husband, Don Anderson .attended the 'exercises. The missionary class of the San-day San-day school held a class party in the canyon Friday night. Myron Ohristensen and Nephi Anderson are the teachers. Saturday evening a wedding dance was held for Mr. and Mrs. Keith Rawlinson. The bride is the former Eldula East. Both are graduates grad-uates o'J Delta high. Mr. Rawlinson is the son of Mr. nad Mrs. Glenn Rawlinson. Many Delta and other out of town were present, including includ-ing the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence East and her sister, Mrs. Leonard Willden and family. Cpl. and Mrs. Grant Christensen and Merritt and Joe Christensen spent Thursday and Friday in Salt Lake. Larry Shipley and Roland Dut-son Dut-son spent several days in Salt Lake. Vonetta Jacobson, Maurine and Colleen Anderson and Verna Mae Drollinger are spending part of their vacation in Oak City this week. Mr. and Mrs. Don Walker and family and Mr. LeRoy Walker visited vis-ited in Oak City. Mr. and Mrs. Dana Dodge and children visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. George D. Shipley Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday. Mrs. Rachel Roper had friends and relatives call for her birthday Aug. 20. The children of Mae H. Shipley gathered together to honor their mothers' birthday, Aug. 21 at her home in Oak City. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Anderson and children visited their mother, Mrs. Caddie Anderson this week end. |
