Show Husband May Have 'Substitute Wife' Does your husband have a substitute sub-stitute wife? "Ridiculous as it may sound, such dramas of infidelity are being played out every day in countless of respectable American homes," according to a columinist and marriage consultant, Dr. George W. Crane, writing in Coronet. In his article, SIX RULES OF LOVE TO HOLD A HUSBAND, Dr. Crane explains that the problem prob-lem of the straying husband is fundamentally a problem in opposed op-posed views, and it can be solved if each party makes a special effort at understanding. At the cost of hours lost from doing things she would much rather do, today's average wife has become an excellent cook and housewife, dedicating herself to the high ideal of family life, and at the same time, neglecting the importance of extended physical love in a successful suc-cessful marriage. A normal man feels frustrated unless he achieves normal sex expression, ex-pression, without it, his ego is impaired; im-paired; his personality off balance. Yet, thousands of women are apparently ap-parently unaware of this simple truth. "Men, all over, seek romantic satisfaction," continues Dr. Crane, "First of all, in their own homes. If they fail to find it there, they go outside, not because they want to, but because they are driven to it. The average husband, deprived of this love and satisfaction in his home, is forced to resort to a substitute sub-stitute wife, despite the chance he takes of wrecking his horn e. "Tradition, notwithstanding, the way to hold a husband is not by being a matchless cook and housekeeper." |
