Those who were present included Mr. and Mrs .Voolsey, Mr. and Mrs. Jex Hyatt of Provo, and Thola and Bernice Hepworth who are employed at Geneva Steel. Mrs. Eda Maxfield and her small son, Russell, spent Christmas at the home o'f her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Theobald. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Stringham spent the holidays with their parents par-ents in Brigham City. Mr. and Mrs. George Puckett al-so al-so spent the holidays away. Mrs. Emma Spendlove had most of her family here for a family dinner on Christmas eve. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Hansen and their daughter, Ruth, Ronald Belnap and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Spendlove of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Spendlove Spend-love of Ogden and the other mem bers of the family who live locally. local-ly. Mrs. Harriet Spendlove's mother, is here for a visit, recuperating from a automobile accident in which she injured her shoulder Mr. and Mrs. Spendlove brought Mrs. Merriel back with them when they returned Tuesday from a visit to Preston, Idaho, where ithey attended at-tended a family dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Petersen. Pet-ersen. Miss Laura Fillmore, of Corrine, Utah, has been a visitor at the Spendlove home during the holidays. holi-days. She accompanied them to Idaho Id-aho for a visit. ' Lyla Rae Talbot also went with the Spendloves and Laura Fillmore Fill-more for a visit in Corrine, Utah and in Idaho. Chester' Knight has been visiting visit-ing with his sister, Mrs. Rachel Spor in Hinckley over the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Blake spent the holidays here with their parents. par-ents. Several people from Hinckley Hinck-ley attended the funeral of Mrs. Leigh Allred in Provo last week. Those who attended were Mrs. Elinor Eli-nor Bishop and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hilton. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Swensen, who have been living in Salt Lake were home over the holidays. Bruce Barnes, who has been going go-ing to school in Oregon visited in Hinckley with relatives over the holidays. Mary Moody entertained her friend, Glen Snow, of St. George during the holidays. The Hinckley Art Club held a New Year's party at the home of Mr and Mrs. George Cahoon, on Monday evening. The evening was spent in playing Rook and refreshments refresh-ments were served. Mona Allred returned to Hinckley Hinck-ley with her parents and spent the week end here. Mr. and Mrs. Elden Hurst visited visit-ed in Pavson over the week end. Mr and Mrs. Carl Gray and fam ily of Central, Utah, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Otto Tullis over the week end. Mrs Marilvn Dastrup and children child-ren of Siguard, Utah, spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Reeves. Mr. and Mrs. Ves Nielsen and Mr. and Mrs. Marlow Nielson spent several days last week visiting with friends and relatives here. Bishop and Mrs. Ekins spent several sev-eral days last week in Salt Lake. Upon their return they were strick en with food poisoning and were treated at the Delta hospital. The special interest group of the MIA held a New Year's party Sunday evening in the elementary school gym. About 'fifty people were in attendance. The evening was spent in playing parlor games and having refreshments. Also, a white elephant sale was held. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Wilson travelled trav-elled to Payson Sunday morning and returned in the evening. They brought Jay Wilson back wnth them to spend a short visit here. House guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Tanner over the holidays were Mr. and Mrs. Morlan Tanner of Sacramento, Cal. Mr. and Mrs. Caffel of Reno, Nev., Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hughes of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Tanner of Salt Lake. The Sunday evening services were furnished by the college students stu-dents who were home for the holidays. holi-days. The choir sang several numbers num-bers and the following people were called on to speak: Eva and Elsie Blake, who are attending Snow College, Mona Allred, who is employed in Provo , Wilmer Woodbury, who is attending BAC, Elma Kay Workman, who is attending at-tending Dixie, Ross and Valeda Hilton, who are going to the USAC at Logan and Lars Bishop who is attending Snow. Mr. and Mrs. Aroet Taylor and Mr. and Mrs. Alma Taylor went to Aurora Tuesday to attend the funeral of Heber Taylor, an uncle. Bonnie and Walter Manis spent the New Year's week end in Hinckley. Hin-ckley. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Caldwell of Clearfield, Utah, spent the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Stewart. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Webb visited visit-ed with Mr. and Mrs. Les Webb over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Pratt of Tooele Too-ele visited with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pratt over the week end. |
