Show 31. J. 3!oly lluys Angus M. J. Moody recently purchased twenty purebred Aberdeen-Angus cows and a bull for his Sutherland Suther-land farm. Long one of the larger ! turkey raisers in this area, this is ! ' Mr. Moody's first venture with Aberdeen-Angus. Ten purebred Aberdeen-Angus cows weer bought 'from Fritz Steig-ler Steig-ler and three from San Vogler both ' of LaCrosse, Wash. Seven cows I were bought from Rancheria Angus of Anderson, Cal. i In addition to these Mr. Moody . has just -returned from Madison, Kansas, where he purchased a bull Everbest Prince the 70th, from the Simon Angus farms. He brought home his bull and one purchased earlier by Dale Pearson of Delta, for his Aberdeen-Angus herd. The Sunbeam bull bought by Mr. Moody is a nephew of Prince Eric o'f Sunbeam, recently sold for I $100,000.00 at the age of eight years. Also his tthree-fourth brother broth-er has won 13 first in 14 shows, including Chicago International. Mr. Pearson bought his bull earlier this year at the Denver livestock show. The animal is a grandson of the famous hundred thousand dollar Prince Sunbeam the 29th. Mr. Moody and Mr. Pearson hope that the acquisition of this excel- lent stock will add greatly to the cattle industry in this area. |
