Karlow of Bingham, engineer for the K Bingham & Garfield railroad, was in- stantly killed shortly before noon I Wednesday when the locomotive he Iwas piloting up the hill In the workings work-ings of the Utah Copper company at Bingham collided with a train coming down the hill. The locomotive was demolished and the fireman badly in- I Jured. The latter'g name could not I be learned. I Karlow was reported to have been I piloting engine No. 75, drawing eight empty cars up the hill near a spot v where Beveral steam shovels were working. Several cars were de- I railed and narrowly missed rolling i down a steep embankment hundreds ot feet. I . Karlow's fireman was rushed to a i Salt Lake hospital.
