Show SUTHERLAND . . . Mr. and Mrs. Parley Deem went to Willard on Sunday, Oct. 1, for the funeral of her nephew. They returned Tuesday bringing with them Mr. Deem's brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Deem o'f Colorado. Maylon Erickson and Bryaht Jones left Saturday for the FFA convention in Kansas City and in Omaha. The trip will take about two weeks. There have been a number of parties for children lately. Mrs. Ferrell Walker entertained for her daughter, Venna. Mrs. Ted Denni-son Denni-son entertained for her son, Harold. Har-old. Mrs. Reed Tippetts for Jill; Mrs. Armand Ogden for Lorraine. Mrs. Fred Turner for Diane, and Mrs. Max Johnson for Gayle. Mrs. Ferrell Walker entertained the As You Like It Club. The evening eve-ning was spent sewing and visiting. visit-ing. Luncheon was served later in the evening. Those present were Manon Robison, Delia Johnson, Florice Sanford, Virginia Lyman, Betty Johnson, Nella .Jackson, Dale Bishop, Zelda Ogden, Tanetta Sor-ensen Sor-ensen and Elaine Turner, members; mem-bers; and Erma Walker, Gloria Walker, and Eve Beckstrand, as guests. Mrs. and Mrs. Charles Jensen went to Mt. Pleasant on Wednesday Wednes-day to bring his mother back to stflv with them. Tooele were visitors at the home of Mrs. Oliver's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Ashby, last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Bennett and sons, Michael, Jerry and Duane, went to Logan last Friday to visit Mrs. Bennett's parents. They returned re-turned on Tuesday. Dave McNiel of Eureka is visiting visit-ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Dennison. Glen Rawlinson went to Salt Lake City on Tuesday to take his father there for medical care. Rulon Anderson went to Salt Lake City last Sunday to see his wife, who is in the hospital. He reports that Mrs. Anderson is as well as can be expected. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Tippetts went to Wayne county last Friday. They returned home Sunday night. Last Sunday night Was the testimonial tes-timonial for Kenneth May, who is leaving soon on a Hawaiian mission. mis-sion. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Fowles went to Manti Sunday. Mrs. Clark Ivie visited her husband hus-band in the LDS hospital Sunday and tells he is much improved. Albert Ogden is reported to be much better, and has been up in a wheel chair. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Johnson spent Tuesday in Ephraim and Manti. A group o'f friends surprised Bert Johnson with a birthday party last Sunday evening. Dee Jensen has just returned home from his mission in the southern states. Mr. Jensen is the first missionary to return to the Sugarville ward for many years. Mr. and Mrs. George Jensen made a trip to Tooele on Monday taking Mr. Jensen's son, Clifton, to work at TOD Park. Mr. and Mrs. Meryl Oliver of |
