Show i LYNNDYL BY MARY TOHNSON Mrs. Gene Dutson and Bryant were down for a two-day visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Whatcott and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Leon-ard Dutson. Miss Margaret Smith spent the latter part of the week in Salt Lake. Her father returned with her on Saturday for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Larsen drove down from Provo Thursday and spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Nielson. Mrs. Jennie Huddleston has returned re-turned home after spending six weeks With her father in Mil ford. He is convalescing at present. Lee Shipley is home with the family at present. He is working in Provo. Driving to Provo for the funeral of Mrs. Viola Angell last Wednesday Wednes-day were Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Freer, Mv nnd Mrs TTarrv MrfprHpll Mrs Ruth Bowers, Kate Hayes, Mamie Pargis, Mary Smith, Jennie Huddleston, Hud-dleston, Mary Johnson, and Norine Shipley, all former Lynndyl residents resi-dents in Provo attended. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mills and daughters, Melody and Linda, drove to Milford Sunday for a few days visit with relatives. Bishop and Mrs. Clead Nielson and Earl Greathouse made a business bus-iness trip to Salt Lake City Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Saturday a group of men started painting the church. The building will be completely redone from start to finish, inside and out. Monday the ladies helped to clean. Saturday Mrs. Jean Ashby drove down from Springville where she with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nileson, left for Cedar City. They picked up Miss Colleen Nielson and her girl friend and went on to Las Vegas where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ashby and two sons. Mr. Ashby is with the air force of the army. He has been stationed at Las Vegas Veg-as since the first of the year. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Willard Stewart. Thursday Mr.xand Mrs. Irvin R. Whatcott were pleasantly surprised surpris-ed to have Mr. and Mrs. Cash Smith of Benson call on them. They are the parents of Mrs. Dar-old Dar-old Whatcott. ill at this time. They also visited her Monday, also their father, Collier Col-lier Lovell, who fell and suffered injury the previous Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Freer went to Salt Lake Saturday where Mr. Freer was a guest of honor at a special banquet at the Hotel Utah given by the Union Pacific Railroad Rail-road Old Timers Lodge No. 12. Mr.' Freer is retired now after forty four years of service. There were twenty-two who reecived honors and nearly five hundred people at- j tended the banquet. Mr. and Mrs. Freer visited with ' Mrs. Freer's brother, Jim McCard- i ell and wife of Tooele- before returning re-turning Monday. Sunday evening at Sacrament services high councilman, George H. Anderson, was in charge of the program. He brought with him. Elder Dean Anderson, recently returned re-turned missionary, who gave a very interesting account of his mis sion. Miss Afton Roper played a piano solo and Miss Meredith Anderson An-derson sang, accompanied by Miss Roper. Mr. a nd Mrs. John Fullmer of Abraham were also there. Mr. Fullmer gave a talk. Mrs. Gladys Banks went to Mil-ford Mil-ford Monday for a few days visit w'ith her daughter, Maurine and family. Also to attend a celebra-ttion celebra-ttion at Minersville, where she has a number of relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Newel Howlett and boys of Kanosh visited Thursday afternoon at the Irvin Whatcott home. Mrs. Eldonna Anderson and little lit-tle Ellen spent the past week here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Coleman. Friday Mr. Anderson An-derson came up from Cedar . City and spent the weekend. They returned re-turned home with him. Miss Gladys Banks was home from Provo for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Wright of Delta visited Sunday afternoon at the Wilkins home. Miss Ha Fullmer was a guest of Roberta Nielson and Connie Johnson John-son over Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bradfield and family spent Sunday in Map-leton Map-leton visiting Mrs. Bradfield's brother, bro-ther, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Christ-ensen. Christ-ensen. Mrs. Vera Carpenter and Mrs. Norma Byrd and children spent Friday at the Bradfield home. They enjoyed a lovely dinner and a nice visit. Mrs. Betty Nielson was released as counselor in the YLMIA and Mrs. Margie Greathouse was chosen chos-en to take her place. Mr. and Mrs. Harry McCardell received word of a new baby boy at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Brant Wall in Salt Lake City; Mrs. Wall will be remembered as Betty Og-den Og-den and this is their second son. The PTA sponsored a party at the school house Monday evening. About forty people attended and progressive games were played. Ticekts were sold to raise funds to purchase new drapes for the music room. Mr. and Mrs. Curt Johnson drove to Salt Lake Tuesday on a business busin-ess trip. Last Wednesday Mrs. Erma Roper Ro-per and Mrs. Eunice Nielson met their aunt, Mrs. Nettie Merrill of Blackfoot, Idaho, at the train and took her to Oak City where she will visit for some time. They spent the day with, their sister, Mrs. Thelma Anderson, who is very |
