Show Oasis Mrs La Veda Bishop Mr. and Mrs. Arlyn Styler from Bountiful visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Val Styler over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Val Styler went to Salt Lake Sunday, where Mr. Styler Styl-er had medical care. The Gerald Skeems left Oasis Saturday to search for work in warmer climes. Mrs. Jensine Anderson left Monday Mon-day for Portland, Ore., to visit her daughter, Mrs. Juaniita Boone for two months. Mrs. Irene Stanworth was very much delighted Monday to receive a $10 prize from a radio program. She entered the contest a number of months ago. She expected to receive re-ceive first prize, which would prac tically refurnished her entire house and given her a new car and goodness knows what else. But as time went on and she didn't hear from the "quacks," as she thought they had turned out to be, she had given up hope. Then Monday her faith in radio programs was restored when she called for her mail and lo ten dollars. Tuesday evening Ted Harris showed his pictures of his trip to Guam and Hawaii to a very appreciative ap-preciative audience during activity period in MIA. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Cropper entertaned a group of friends on Tuesday evening prior to Mutual by serving a lovely turkey dinner. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Wash Roundy, Bishop and Mrs. Peter H. Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Haw-ley, Haw-ley, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bishop, Erma Roundy and Gerald Bishop. Monday evening a group of friends fri-ends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bishop, spent the evening playing Rook and dominoes. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Hawley, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Skeem, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Christen-sen, Christen-sen, Mr. and Mrs. David Nichols, Mr. and Mrs. Wash Roundy and Bishop and Mrs. Peter H. Peterson. Mrs. Gordon Bishop took her infant in-fant son John to Salt Lake City Saturday for a medical check-up. He is getting along nicely now, and they returned home Monday. |
