Show I Alumnus s Dies i II f J i. i I II I Tr ri v r rf f r. r c 4 rrY p University Mourns Graduates Graduate's Loss Creighton Pat King has passed passed passed pass pass- ed on All Utah mourns at the loss of one of the finest men men that that ever ver graced its portals In 1914 Pat King entered the University of U Utah Uh h and enrolled in inthe inthe inthe inI I the School of Arts and Science majoring in Economics That year the Ute Redskins found that they had in their midst a wonderful I prospect for center at football later they discovered that King was a marvel on the basketball co court and a powerful track man Not only were athletics the only accomplishment of Pat but the social season found him serving on several program committees and a member of the Sigma Chi m I fraternity I In his sophomore year he was a two letter man and a campus idol When war was declared in 1918 Pat helped to organize E battery field artillery and went overseas as a lieutenant At the end of the war he resumed his education education education ed ed- ed- ed and consequently his athletic athletic athletic ath ath- letic achievements He graduated in 1920 with honors from the School of Arts and went to Georgetown university at Washington Washington Washington Wash Wash- ington to study law graduating in 1922 I Upon returning home he immediately immediately imme imme- imme-I imme took an active interest in athletics and was elected president president president dent of the U. U Mens Men's ens en's club in 1924 serving one term King was a junior member of King King law firm when death nipped his active career at athe atthe atthe the he age of thirty r Death services services services ser ser- vices will be held next Friday Services at the place of burial will be held with full Sigma Chi ritual |
