E. Simpson. Mrs. Simpson's brother, Walter Baxter has been in the Holy Cross hospital. He had a silver socket put in his hip. He is doing fine and able to walk. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Johnson of Provo had their daughter, Grace, and children of California visiting with them for a week or so. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Crumb and children, Paul, Jr., and Ella Mae, spent a pleasant evening Tuesday I with Mr. and Mrs. Mel Majers in Orem. Crads were played and refreshments re-freshments served by Nancy Lynn and Ella Mae. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Simpson, Frances Pfeiffer and son, Raemon, drove to Lynndyl Tuesday to get Neil, who has been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Simpson and Jay. He will attend school in Provo where he will spend the winter. Gene Dutson of Provo, flew to Milford Thursday evening where 'he is now employed, the result of the steel strike. Mrs. Anna McMahon of Lynndyl is visiting for a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clark, and is going to Salt Lake to visit her son, Doug las, who is attending the U of U this year. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wagman of Salt Lake called and visited Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clark. Mr. and Mrs. Deward Clark, - Oak City - MAE H. SHIPLEY The Oak City Primary had a lovely party and dance for Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en Thursday afternoon and children all came in costumes. A fish pond, excited the children. Witches told fortunes refreshments were served. Mrs. Wilma Roberts and son are visiting from Ogden for a week with her mother Mrs. Caddie Lov-ell. Lov-ell. Mr. and Mrs. Max Bennett visited visit-ed in Oak City from Calif. Mak enjoyed the hunt. Paul Finlinson and Scott Sheriff visited in Oak City a few days, They are attending school at Grand Junction, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Max Lovell and children from Lark were Oak City visitors. Sunday evening at sacrament services the speakers were Mrs. Alta Alldredge, Mr. Ivan Nielson, Monte Nielson and Meredith Anderson. And-erson. Sunday evening a fireside chat was held after meeting at Bishop Finlinson's home. Mr. and Mrs. Mer lin Workman were there and told of their experiences in the mission field also showed some of their pictures while away. Mr. . and Mrs. Myron Anderson and new baby from Salt Lake were Oak City visitors. Miss Faye Alldredge spent a few days with her folks . She is enjoy- ing her work at the hospital in Salt Lake. fhe elementary school celebrat-Hallowe'en celebrat-Hallowe'en Monday, with a pot luck lunch at noon and a spook room and program. Mfs. Irene Talbot and Mrs. Jerry Jer-ry Talbot entertained Hallowe'en evening with Hallowe'en decorations decorat-ions and a good supper was served. ser-ved. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Jacobsen and family and Mrs. Maggie Lewis of Springville visited their brothers and sisters in Oak City. Robert and Byron Nielson and their families are visiting in Oak City. Richard Chrstenson and Gene -vieve Anderson spent the weekend in Oak City. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Coleman and Mr. and Mrs. Norval Anderson Ander-son and families were Oak City visitors from Provo. |
