Show BY ON E WHO KNOWS Three Big Days Fill Veekend With Activity Thursday is the beginning of 3 days of fun, celebration and education edu-cation for the boys and girls, their dads, moms, granddads, grand -mothers and little brothers sisters, of the people of west Millard, Millard Mil-lard county, and southwestern Utah in general. Everyone is welcome and nothing noth-ing is formal, except the trim fat beef, with a new hair wave every few hours, the blocky sheep with a square cut and the fat pigs with a porcine smell. Imagine all of this, including 100 bawling calves, 100 maaing sheep, 100 redolent hogs, 300 proud exhibitors, ex-hibitors, 600 proud parents, 1200 proud grandparents, 2400 little bro thers and sisters running pell mell through a large brick barn with a gleaming aluminum roof. Then picture all 4500 of these people with a large hot dog, full of onions, mustard, catsup, and a bottle bot-tle of pop, a generous sprinkling of distinguished- looking gentlemen gentle-men with 10 gallon hats and large cigars, known as the buyers, milling mill-ing through the crowd. And what am I talking about? Why, the Millard County Junior Livestock Show, May 26, 27, and 28, of course. So I will be seeing you there. BY HOWARD NIELSON |
