Mr. and Mrs. William Carmack of St. Louis, were Delta visitors last week at the home of Mr 's sister, Mrs. Herman Mini-ster. Mr. and Mrs. James Wilkins, and daughters Adeline, Mina and Mrs Helen Reeves, and Piatt Reeves, and three Reeves children, spent several days in Delta last week visiting another daughter, Mrs. Reed Crafts. The visitors had been at the Grand Canyon and Zion and Bryce, and after their visit here returned to Los Angeles. While in Utah Mr .and Mrs. Reeves and family went on to Salt Lake for a visit with Mr. Reeves mother'. Rodney Peterson left Delta last Wednesday to return to Walla Walla Wash., after a visit in Delta. His wife "and son are remaining in Delta for several weeks visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Heyborne visited in Delta during the week with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Heyborne. Since Robert was graduated from the USAC in June, the couple have made a trip to New York City. They are moving new from Logan to Cedar City to make their home. Mrs. Nellie Workman, from Salt Lake City, spent Saturday in Delta visiting old friends. She was on her way to Baker, Nev., for a visit of several weeks with her daugh-ter, Mrs. Lavina Bunker. Paul V. Blair, son of Ralph V. Blair of Delta, Utah, is one of 143 State Agriculture students who have arrived at oFrt Lewis Wash., to begin six weks of intensive sum mer training. Cadet Blair is an ad-vanced ROTC student and upon graduation from College will re-ceive a commission as a 2nd Lt., in the Organized Reserve Corps. The purpose of the summer train-ing camp is to supplement the in-struction already received by the student with practical outdoor field training. Carlos Pace and son, Nick, and John Day spent this week in the high Uintas on a fishing trip. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pace and old son of Ely, Nev., flew in Fri-day to Delta and Mr. Pace joined the fishing party. Mrs. Pace and baby remained in Delta to visit. Two Californians, Bill Radke and Dr. Brownell, flew to Salt Lake City, and joined the fishing exped-ition there. ' r. Mr. and Mrs. Golden H.' Black left Tuesday alternoon for Salt Lake City, where Mayor Black had an appointment Wednesday with Gov. J. Bracken Lee, slate road commission members and delega-tions from Utah and Nevada lo discuss the completion of Highway 0. Turner Family The David Turner family re-union will be held in Kanosh can-yon Saturday, July 30. Everybody bring their own lunch. There will be a picnic dinner and an after-noon program. R. L. Turner, chairman Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Adams and small son from Ogden, are spend-ing the week in Delta visiting her parents, Mr .and Mrs. Oliver Davis. STEVENS AND COMPANY Are Married In St. George Teui9e Ek is Miss Donna Mae Anderson, dau-ghter of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron And-erson, of Delta, and Clark B. Cox, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emerald L. Cox of St. George, were married Friday, July 15. The ceremony was performed in tre St. George temple by Pres. Harold S. Snow. After the wedding, the young couple were honored at a dinner at the Cox home with members of the immediate families. The bride wore a wedding gown of white satin, fingertip veil, and car-ried a bouquet of asters and or-chids. They are now on a wedding trip in Cal., and will live later in Los Angeles where Mr. Cox will attend the school of dentistry at USC. He was graduated from Dixie College this year. The bride, a graduate of Delta high school, attended Dixie this past year. Temple Rites Unites Couple Wedding vows were recited on Monday, July 18 in the Manti temple by Miss Colleen Mortensen and Rhead Gunn. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Vie Mortensen of Delta and Elwood Mortensen of Panguitch. Mr. Gunn is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Gunn of Bea-ver. For her wedding the bride wore a gown of lustrous white satin, fashioned with long sleeves and train. Lace formed a peplum and trimmed the Marquisette yoke. Following the ceremony a wed-ding breakfast was served in Man-ti for the bridal couple and im-mediate members of the family. Then the new Mr. and Mrs. Gunn left for a wedding trip in Yellow-stone national park, and will re-turn to make their home at Bea-ver. A wedding reception honoring them will be held Thursday, July 28 at the home of the bride in Del-ta. Mrs. Gunn is a graduate ofDelta high school and attended the BAC at Cedar City this year. Mr. Gunn was graduated from the BAC this year. Couple Wed In Nevada IS ites Mrs. Veva Dekker, of Delta, and Kenneth Martin, of Salt Lake City, were married Saturday evening, July 16, in Ely Nevada. Present for the cermony were the bride's mother and step father, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Swain, of Ely. After a short stay in Ely, Mr. and Mrs. Martin returned to Delta to make their home. Mr. Martin is associated with the Manus Con-struction company here. son are leaving Friday for their home in Dalton, Georgia, after spending the past 3 weeks here with her father, Alma Harder, and brothers and families. She is the former Ranee Harder. Mrs. June Johnson and children from Sutherland are spending a week here visiting with her par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Burton Hansen and children spent a pleasant day up Fool Creek canyon. Leamington Mrs. Leonard Dutson Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson, Mrs Essie Anderson and daughter, Luc-ille Overson from Lynndyl drove to Orem, Saturday, July 16, to at-tend the Carson Reunion, that was held there. There were 150 guests present. Mr. and Mrs. Dell Bradfield and Mrs. Bud Lambright went to Salt Lake to meet Sharon Parsens of Areata, Cal.,. She will spend the summer here with her grandpar-ents. Visiting at the home of Merrill Dutson for four days was Acril Car roll from Cal., a missionary com-panion of Merrill's. He was one of the speakers here in Sunday nights meeting a week ago. The morning glory breakfast, club enjoyed a nice lunch, and a swim in the Delta swimming pool last Wednesday. Mrs. Charlotte Nielson visited in Moroni for a couple of days last week with her aunt. The speakers for sacrament meet ing last Sundaynight were Warren Jensen and Ramond Finlinson from Delta. A musical number was giv-en by Clee Finlinson. Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Nielson of Salt Lake spent the week end here visiting with their son, Grant and other relatives. All of the 4-- club members and leaders have gone to the Oak City Canyon to join the 4-- club stake outing for three days. They returned home Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Nielson and grand-daughte- from Los Angeles are visiting here with her sisters, Mrs. Millie Lovell and Margaret Bradfield and other relatives. Jimmy Spinder from Montana is visiting here with friends. He is the son of Mrs. Kate Spinder and former residents of Leamington. Mrs. Essie Anderson is enjoying her new car she just received. Mr. and Mrs. Dern Williams from Fillmore spent last Sunday here visiting with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nielson and son, Max, visited in Provo last Fri-day. Mrs. Essis Anderson visited with relatives in Nephi last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Quornburg drove to Scipio last Thursday to see their parents. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Nielson last week-n- d were their sons, Sterling and wife and baby, and Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Nielson and children. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Larsen and baby from Cedar City were week-end guests at the Spencer Nielson home. While visiting in San Francisco a week ago Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Soderquist went to see their son, Harold, who is serving in the Ma-rines the past 4 years and is sta-tioned In San Francisco. He will be discharged in September. He was a student of Delta high school. Mrs. Minnie Ashby from Fill-more was in Leamington last week with her many friends.
