Show Farmers' Union To Meet on 17th The Action Group of the Farm- , ers' Union met at the Hinckley Seminary on Tuesday, August 10, ! to plan the next meeting, which will be held at the seminary on ! Tuesday, August 17. I All members of the Farmers' Union and all those interested in , this program are invited to attend this next meeting when local probr lems will be brought before the group and plans of action discus- 1 sed. Rachel Hanvey, a national representative rep-resentative was present to aid in making plans for the helps needed need-ed by the group and she is plan- I ning to be present at the meeting next Tuesday. The group has invited Mr. Justin Stewart, director of Education, Utah Cooperative Association to be with the group, speaking on the ' benefits derived from Cooperatives. I Some of the local problems which I will be discussed will be the buying . of sacks in a larger group to make j it possible to obtain them at a lower cost, the possibility of having hav-ing the road tax removed from gas- i oline used on the farms, the drain-age drain-age problem in this area and its breeding of flies and mosquitoes, the possibility of more effective and more thorough sprayings of lots in this area and a report on the progress of Highway Six and , the potentialities of this project in relationship to residents of this area.
