I Mrs. Mary Johnson and son, Ross, 'went to Salt Lake, Thursday, and visited with her daughter, Colleen and returned Saturday. I Mrs. Betsy Skeem, of Oasis, vis-, Sited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Thurlo Wiley. Mr. and Mrs. Smith Avely and small baby, from Escalante, are ! here, visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Roundy. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clark were Salt Lake visitors Monday. They also went shopping and visited Mrs. Mary Coon. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mills spent a few days with Mrs. Mills mother, Mrs. Osborne in Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Gavin Weir spent Friday in Milford. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smith and girls went to Black Rock and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Red Clark, who is section foreman there. Mr. and Mrs. Gavin Weir are leaving for Clear Lake, Tuesday, where Mr. Weir will be section foreman there. Mr. Wallace Allen has gone to Cedar City to work. Harlen Nielson spent a few days in Milford and returned Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Gavin Weir had as their guests Sunday, Mrs. Effie Allen Al-len and Ruby. Mrs. Effie Allen entertained Saturday Sat-urday evening for Mrs. Frances Pfeifer, who will be leaving soon, to join her husband. Cards were played and a delicious luncheon was served to Norma Majers, Rachel Rach-el Simpson and Ruby Allen. Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Gronning visited here Monday evening, with Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Gronning and Mrs. and Mrs. Myron Vest. Mrs. Carl Benson returned home -Friday. She went to Salt Lake with I her mother, Mrs. Sarah Ann Wiley, ' who underwent an operation at the LDS hospital. Mrs. Wiley is doing do-ing fine. Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Ivie and Harold, drove to Kanosh, where Mrs. Ivie remained for a few days visit with her mother, Mrs. William Walker. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Smith and children, went to Provo, where Mr. Smith is employed. Russell Dutson, who has been working in Salt Lake, came home Friday and visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Dutson. Mr. and Mrs. Harry McCardell spent a few days in Salt Lake City the latter part of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Sherriff went to Provo for a few .days visit with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilkie. They brought Mrs. Sherriff's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Ann Roper, back with them for a visit. Kenneth Hayes met with an ac- j cident while out hunting. The gun , went off accidentally and shot him through the foot. Mr. Don James and Gil Johnson went to Los Angeles, looking for work. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Smith are visiting in Beaver with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Shipley went to Spanish Fork and Provo. Mrs. Willard Stewart, of Las Vegas, Veg-as, is here, visiting with her parents, par-ents, Bishop and Mrs. Clead Nielson. Niel-son. Mrs. Minnie Ashby was here visiting vis-iting with her daughter, Mrs. Clead Neilson, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs, Alma Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Wade, of Fillmore, Fill-more, visited at the Clead Nielson home. Mrs. Zola Wright and Mrs. Annie Walker, of Sutherland, visited with Mrs. Reed Larsen Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bishop, from Salt Lake, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Royal Terry. Mrs. Mina Overson, of Sutherland, Suther-land, is visiting here, with her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Mary Johnson. |
