After dinner the young couples played Rook. ' Mr. and Mrs. Een Robison and children returned to Logan Sunday, Sun-day, after a visit over the holidays at the home of their mother, Mrs. Zona Hawley, in Oasis. Don Beck, old-time Deltan, Grove over from Baker, Nevada, this week, for his first trip in many months in this direction. Grant Christensen left Delta Sunday for Salt Lake City, to enter the mission home, preparatory to his departure for the Spanish-American mission field, as a missionary mis-sionary from the Delta Third Ward. He will return at the end of the I week for a few days at the home ' of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Lor-enzo Christensen. Mr. and Mrs. Christensen had all their family, six sons and two daughters, home over Saturday and Sunday, to visit with Grant before he leaves. The daughters daugh-ters are Mrs. Martha Roundy, from Alton, Utah, and Mrs. Ida Alvy, from Sigurd, and the sons all lie in Delta. Miss Louise McMurdie returned last week to her home in Logan, after a visit in Delta during the holidays with her sister, Mrs. Wm. Bassett, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Underhill ) were Salt Lake visitors during the holidays, with their daughter, Mrs. Gail Baywater, and family. Moyle Dorius, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Doruis, is now working on his masters Degree in Business management at the U. of U. Moyle received his B. A. Degree last spring, x Terry Lee Chose, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Wilkins, has returned re-turned to San Francisco, after spending Christmas and the holidays holi-days in Delta. It was her first visit at home in six years, from San Francisco, where she is employed at the Federal Land Bank of Berkeley. Berk-eley. She made the trip both ways by plane, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Willden, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd D; Johnson accompanied her as far as Salt Lake City to the airport on her return trip. They drove straight home, a four-hour trip, and arrived in Delta just in time to take the phone call from Mrs. Chose, saying she too was safely home. i Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Workman have a new grandson, the baby boy born to Willard and Beth At-kin, At-kin, in Logan, Dec. 28. Mr. and Mrs. Atkin have made their home in Logan since September, where he attends the A. C., after a summer sum-mer spent in Delta Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Sampson, from Sandy, were visitors in Delta last week, with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Sampson. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Day, and their mother, Mrs. Emma Day, of Oasis, went to Salt Lake City Sunday, Sun-day, where their mother will remain re-main for ten days, for medical treatments. Mrs. Day is staying with her, and Mr. Day has returned to Delta. |
