Show CITI 1111 COUNCIL MATTERS 1 february 20 p m 1 1904 council met in special session mayor anderson anders on presiding d ing all A 11 members present on roll call REPORTS OF committees the committee on public grounds and city property report ed that three evergreen trees were needed in the cemetery to replace dead ones and that about evergreen and a nd 20 hard bard wood trees would be required on the city hall blo block blok k and in the cemetery that at least 50 rods of fence would be necessary to the triangular shaped piece of ground belonging to th the cemetery it recommended that evergreens in in the cemetery be trimmed report accey accepted ed councilman tuttle moved that the committee on public grounds and city property bo be authorized to have the south part of the cemetery fenced a sui suitable table on entrance trance provided and some evergreen trees planted therein and the dead evergreens in the old cemetery replaced carried C CLAIMS L A I 1 MS these claims were allowed manti li light wl power Co J T M anderson services services 1150 do for sundry persons persona 1215 miscellaneous BUSINESS the superintendent of public works was instructed to do some repairing on the dugway dug way at the mouth of canyon on motion of councilman works cammi committee ateo on streets and lighting was instructed to see that the bridge over city creek on main street io in put on grade I 1 the following resolution of respect and condolence was offered by may mayor ar anderson M whereas cereas colonel theodore E bruback accidentally met mb t dealia an the instant in the daly judge m mine ino at park city and I 1 whereas colonel bruback has been an important 11 factor in building up and adding to the material resources of manti manei city and sah still pete county and recognized by us as a sterling citizen and a man among men therefore bo be it resolved resolve that in behalf of the citizens of manti the city council in executive session as a mark of respect tender to the family of deceased heartfelt sympathy trusting that retho he who coith all things well may comfort and cheer them in their hour of sorrow resolved that this resolution be spread upon the minutes and the Be recorder corder directed to transmit tran swit a copy to mrs theodore E Bruba ok coy 0 voting aye madsen works parry and jensen jenson voting nay none minutes read and approved council adjourned |
