These are the great factors that sustain cur race. "What is the worth of a man? Is it not the measure of his ability to fit in and have a part in the work of sustaining thej factors that support our race, and carry it forward? The worth of a man depends upon the age in which he lives and the people among whom his life is cast The measure of the worth of a man today in famine-stricken Russia would be the fitness of the man, not to preach religion, not to write treatises on agriculture agri-culture pr metaphysics, but to feed the people. "Close 4ip your public schools and universities uni-versities and other institutions of learning, learn-ing, wipe out your churches, abolish liberty lib-erty of thought and expression and in another an-other generation the pitiable plight that has befallen Russia could befall America. "The preservation of the individual, the preservation of the home, the preservation preser-vation of society, the maintenance of our race these are the challenges to the man and the woman who would carry on for human kind. "The worth of a man is the measure of his fitness to render highest service and the measure of his ability to carry on in all truth where duty lies." ft ft ft |
