Show FUNERAL HELD FOR PRIVATE ALMA L. JENSEN On Sunda afternoon th Seventh ward chapel was filled to overflowing overflow-ing with the friends and relatives who camo to paly their last respects to tho memory of another Amorican soldier, when services were held over ov-er the remains of Private Alma La-vernc La-vernc Jensen, the son ot Mr. and Mrs. Alma Jensen, who made the supreme su-preme sacrifice In the world war. There was an extraordinary array of beautiful flowers, covering, and bank ing the casket on every side, and the chapel was effectively decorated with the national emblem, Tho ward choir was in attendance and tho opening song was "Jesus Lover of My Soul." Tho Invocation was offered by Elder El-der Orson Smith. The second song by the choir "Though Deepening Trials." Mr. Hjrum Hansen was the first speaker. He paid a splendid tribute to the heroism and courage ot this (joung man and offered condolences to the bereaved family. Mrs. Eugenie Llnnartzjiang"There Is No Night Thero," with accompaniment accompani-ment by Mlsa Susie Gates. President O. H. Budge made sult-ableand sult-ableand appealing remarks. Frank Baugh Sr. Bang "Bury Me Near the Old Home," Bishop WatklnB followed with concluding remarks thanking In behalf be-half of the family all who had rendered ren-dered service on this occasion. The benediction was pronounced by Elder W. P.. Sorenscra of Mcndon. The guard of honor consisted of Julius Bergsjo, Albert Bergsjo, Nor wood Crawford, Stanley Jaquos, Wll-ford Wll-ford Thomas, A. L. McDonald, El-mor El-mor Gcddea J. N. Stevens. ' The pall bearers were Harold Brangham, Kirk M. Decker, Fred W Thomas, Wra. Cunningham, Miles Peterson and Henry B. Johnson. A salute of three volleys was fired above the grave and Duller Oliver Edwards sounded taps. |
